People anywhere in Australia, including regional and remote areas, who want to see an Accredited Practising Dietitian by video instead of travelling to a clinic. Telehealth appointments cover the same care as in-clinic visits, and you can switch between online and Fortitude Valley appointments at any time. No referral is needed to book.
How it works
When you book, our practice software emails you a secure video link. Click it at your appointment time — there is nothing to install. Initial appointments run for 60 minutes, reviews are shorter. Have two things nearby if you can: any blood tests from the last 6 to 12 months, and a rough sense of how you usually eat on a normal day. If you have neither, we still have plenty to work with.
Who it suits
People in regional and remote Queensland who would otherwise drive hours for an appointment. People interstate who want to keep working with the same dietitian. Parents fitting an appointment around school hours. Shift workers, carers, and anyone for whom travelling into Fortitude Valley is the thing that stops it happening. You can switch between online and in-clinic whenever it suits you.
Rebates
The same rebate pathways apply as for in-person appointments. If your GP has placed you on a Medicare chronic disease management plan, telehealth appointments may be eligible, and most private health extras that cover dietetics cover telehealth too. Eligibility depends on your plan and your fund.
