Tailored Dietitian Support for Energy, Strength and Healthy Ageing
You know nutrition matters. But knowing what to eat and understanding what your body actually needs can be two very different things.
Perhaps you feel more tired than you used to. You may be concerned about maintaining your muscle or bone strength, unsure whether you are getting enough protein, or confused about the place of carbohydrates and fats in a healthy diet. You might also be wondering whether your food provides the vitamins and minerals you need, or whether you should continue taking supplements.
At Wellness Nutrition Solutions, we help take the guesswork out of eating well. Together, we will look at your current eating pattern, identify what is already working and focus on the changes that could make the greatest difference to your energy, strength and long-term health.
No rigid meal plans. No unnecessary food rules. Just clear, evidence-based nutrition advice tailored to your body, health needs and everyday life.
Tailored Nutrition Advice for Your Changing Needs
Your nutritional needs are not fixed. They can change with age, activity, appetite, health conditions, medication and different stages of life.
That is why we look at the whole picture rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Energy, blood sugar, digestion and strength are connected, so we explore your health, lifestyle, food preferences and usual eating patterns together to understand how your nutrition is supporting you.
The aim is not dietary perfection. It is to help you make practical changes that provide the nourishment your body needs while still allowing food to fit comfortably into your life.
Nutrition for Muscle Strength and Bone Health
Maintaining muscle and bone health becomes increasingly important. Eating enough protein, calcium and other essential nutrients, along with suitable physical activity, can support strength, mobility and independence.

Support your strength, mobility and healthy ageing
We can help you explore:
- whether you are getting enough protein across the day
- practical protein-rich foods that suit your preferences and lifestyle
- calcium-rich foods and suitable alternatives
- whether your overall diet provides enough variety
- possible nutritional gaps in your current eating pattern
- how your food choices can complement your strength and activity goals
Support does not necessarily mean eating large amounts of protein or following a restrictive high-protein diet. It means finding an appropriate intake and making it achievable through everyday meals and snacks.
The goal is simple: to ensure your nutrition supports the body you want to keep strong and healthy.
How to Balance Protein, Carbohydrates, Healthy Fats and Fibre
Macronutrients can quickly become confusing. Protein is promoted everywhere. Carbohydrates are often blamed for weight gain. Fat is described as either something to avoid or something you need more of.
In reality, protein, carbohydrates and fats each have important roles in the body, while fibre supports digestive and long-term health. Rather than cutting out entire food groups, we help you find a practical balance.

Protein for muscle maintenance and repair
Protein supplies amino acids that the body uses to maintain and repair tissues, including muscle.
We will consider how much protein may be appropriate for you, the sources you enjoy and how to spread protein-rich foods across the day.
Carbohydrates for energy and a balanced diet
Carbohydrates are an important source of energy and can be part of a nourishing, balanced eating pattern.
Instead of automatically reducing or avoiding them, we can help you choose suitable portions and include nutritious sources that work for you.
Healthy fats and their role in your diet
Dietary fats provide energy, help the body absorb fat-soluble vitamins and contribute to the structure and function of cells.
The type and amount of fat matter. We can help you understand which foods provide beneficial fats and how they can fit naturally into your meals.
Fibre for digestive and long-term health
Fibre is important for healthy digestion and metabolic health, and plant foods are where it comes from.
We will look at practical ways to improve the amount and variety of fibre in your diet without turning eating into another set of numbers to track.
The goal is better balance, not restriction. Your eating pattern should support your energy and health without making food more complicated than it needs to be.
Nutrition Support for Possible Nutrient Deficiencies
A varied eating pattern provides many of the nutrients your body needs, but gaps can occur. Appetite, dietary restrictions, health conditions, medications, age, lifestyle and changing nutritional needs can all influence nutrient intake.
An inadequate intake of certain nutrients may contribute to tiredness or impair normal bodily functions. Depending on your individual circumstances, we may consider your intake of nutrients such as:

Identify nutritional gaps and improve your nutrient intake
Nutrients we may consider:
- iron
- calcium
- vitamin D
- vitamin B12
- folate
- magnesium
- other vitamins and minerals relevant to your health
Symptoms such as fatigue can have many possible causes, so nutrition assessment does not replace medical investigation or a blood test. If further assessment is appropriate, we may recommend discussing your symptoms or pathology testing with your GP.
A Food-First Approach to Vitamins and Minerals

We do not automatically recommend supplements. We begin by understanding your eating pattern, health circumstances and any available pathology results. Where appropriate, we will help you find food-based ways to improve your nutrient intake. Some people may still benefit from a supplement when a deficiency occurs or when food alone cannot meet their needs, and in those situations recommendations should be appropriate, purposeful and coordinated with your GP or healthcare team when required. The aim is not simply to take more supplements. It is about understanding what your body needs, why it needs it, and the most suitable way to meet that need.
What to Expect From Your Nutrition Consultation
- 1
Understand your health, lifestyle and eating patterns
We start by listening. We will talk about your health, symptoms, lifestyle, usual food choices and what you would like to achieve. This helps us understand the whole picture, not just an isolated nutrient or meal.
- 2
Identify nutritional gaps and opportunities
Next, we look at what may be getting in the way. We identify areas where your diet may be falling short and the small changes likely to have the most meaningful impact.
- 3
Create a practical nutrition plan for everyday life
You will receive tailored, evidence-based guidance that fits your preferences, routines, cooking skills and budget. Knowing what to do is only useful when you can make it work in real life.
- 4
Adapt your nutrition as your needs change
Your health story is not static, and your nutrition should not be either. At review appointments we assess what is working, solve problems and adjust your plan as your health, confidence or priorities change.
